Accessibility statement

What we have built into this site for people using a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or reduced motion, what we know is not yet right, and how to tell us when we have missed something.

Last updated 12 September 2026

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA across this site. That is a target we work to, not a certification: the site has been checked by our own team against automated tooling and by keyboard, and it has not been independently audited or tested with a professional screen-reader user. We would rather say that plainly than claim a conformance we have not had verified.

What is in place

  • Keyboard and structure

Every link, button, tab and accordion works from the keyboard, and focus is visible wherever it lands. Pages use real headings in order, real lists and real tables, with landmarks so a screen reader can jump between the navigation, the main region and the footer.

  • Reading and contrast

Body text meets the 4.5 to 1 contrast ratio against its background, and larger headings meet 3 to 1. Text is set in relative units, so browser zoom and a larger default font size both work, and the layout reflows to a single column rather than forcing sideways scrolling.

  • Motion

Nothing on the site flashes, and nothing autoplays with sound. The drifting connector marks, the orbit rings and the scroll animations all stop when your system is set to reduce motion, and the parallax that follows a pointer never runs on a touch device.

  • Images and product screens

Meaningful images carry alternative text. The product screens are decorative illustrations of the interface rather than live software, so they are hidden from assistive technology and the point each one makes is written out in the text beside it.

What we know is not right yet

  • The regulatory map on the trust page is a wide table that scrolls sideways inside its own box. It is reachable and scrollable from the keyboard, but it is harder work on a small screen than it should be.
  • The illustrated product screens convey some information through colour and position alone. The surrounding copy carries the same point, but the screens themselves are not readable on their own.
  • The site has not been tested end to end with VoiceOver, NVDA or JAWS by someone who uses one daily. That is the next thing we intend to commission.

Tell us

If any part of this site keeps you from doing what you came to do, write to info@metisjean.com with the page address and what happened. We aim to reply within five working days, and to say either when we will fix it or how we can get you the same information another way.

Jean itself

This statement covers the marketing site only. Accessibility of a Jean deployment inside your own environment, including the conformance report for the product interface, is part of the security and procurement pack. Ask for it during your security review and we will send the current version.
